Something to say

When you are down in life & things seem hard,

Listen to your body,

Listen to your mind,

Listen to your soul,

They have something to say to help you heal.

When you are up in life & things seem easy,

Listen to your body,

Listen to your mind,

Listen to your soul,

They have something to say to help you stay grounded.

The answers never were far out,

They were always inside your inn,

It just needed a sincere call,

from you to yourself,

For things to become clearer than clear,

Making doubts and fear move farther than rear.

The Hallmark

To maintain your sanity when the world goes insane,

To maintain your parity when the surround loses theirs,

Its the hallmark of the mature & the wise

To become more of what does matter &

To become less of what doesn't.

To get going when the going gets tough is not a cakewalk,

Life was always meant to be simple but not easy,

Its the hallmark of the mature and the wise

To find the answer inside the question &

interpret things as is, not as wished to be.

When the eyes feel moist and the heart seems heavy,

When you do the right thing & yet the world terms you crazy,

Its the hallmark of the mature and the wise

To wash their eyes and hold their hearts

Lift themselves & keep learning from life.

The Reason I Write

Sometimes, thoughts flood our minds, without even giving a ring. Using words they start screening in the mind's theatre, to be caressed and strewn together, for a beautiful frame to emerge.

All my poems originate similar.

This poem came out on a similar occasion when I was pondering on

"Why do I like Writing"

The answer came along clear, as I wrote :

I may not know the world changed but I wish moments got brighter for few.

I may not know the message was consumed but I wish it was digested proper.

I may not know who connected the dots but I wish joining them made it feel good.

I may not know who got nudged towards right but I wish the innate potentials got realized

I may not know who traversed from reaction to response, but I wish the wisdom chords were tinkered right

It's okay to not know, but I sincerely wish

May be,

Just May be,

I place someone's mind and the heart in the right place at the right time for the right things to happen, around them.

For writing makes me feel the above experience to my own self.

You Can Always Be

Born with limitless potential, we all have been unknowingly conditioned by societal rules to always mimic the crowd behavior. Not that there's something wrong in it, but everything's not right, either.

What's popular is not always right.

What's unpopular is not always wrong.

This poem is my attempt to realize that all the limitations, we impose on ourselves, are often self made and if we can just keep aside the cliche mindset, the feel we get by exploring the limitless (in us) is beyond any words and is simply extraordinary and experiential.

You can be as Happy as you can Make Yourself to be

You can be as Passionate as you can Drive Yourself to be

You can be as Shiny as you can Polish Yourself to be

You can be as Beautiful as you can Feel Yourself to be

You can be as Successful as you can Practice Yourself to be

You can be as Brave as you can Allow Yourself to be

You can be as Conscious as you can Bring Yourself to be

You can always Be as you Want to Be

Unless

You Block yourself from what you Desire to Be.

What If

We all have been running on autopilot mode because of multitude of make-believe worldly reasons. Some of them are essential but most of them are distractions, which we allowed to engulf ourselves with - by clouding our thinking elements.

Following poem is an attempt to remind ourselves on the easily forgotten "what if's" of our daily lives.

What if we do only right and never think about wrong

What if we don't give in to impure and useless thoughts

What if we refuse to brighten feelings of envy and pride

What if we help others without any selfish reason

What if we keep learning and remain curious throughout our years

What if we respond than react to unexpected events

What if we become what we can, than mere dreaming about them

What if we do our best and not think about the outcome

What if external validation is no longer a need for self motivation

What if we muster the courage to still move on, even when no ounce of energy is left

What if we look at solutions and not stare at problems for long

What if technology brings the best of us and not the worst

What if we stay closer to us and not away from the real self

What if we remember to bring a smile and not tears knowingly or unknowingly

What if we remain free and just be what we are supposed to be.

All the what ifs mentioned can never let us down and will only act as a lever to make us more healthy, happy and strong.

In A Bid To...

Every information that humans claim to have discovered was always present in nature. It was observed and understood at a specific moment clearly.

Brilliant thinkers passed on this ageless wisdom in various forms and we all try to mimick them as much as possible. It's fine to imitate but it's not good to become a copy and lose our true original nature.

This poem is penned to remind myself that it's all right to listen and learn from others, but always keep the thinking part hardwired to self - to deduce and act right.

In a bid to gain more Followers like others,

Don't Unfollow yourself.

In a bid to do Right like others,

Don't Wrong yourself

In a bid to feel Happiness like others,

Don't Unhappy yourself

In a bid to get Likes from others,

Don't Unlike yourself

In a bid to Win like others,

Don't Lose yourself

In a bid to Please for others,

Don't Unplease yourself

In a bid to Bid like others,

Don't Unbid yourself

In a bid to go Far like others,

Don't Halt yourself

In a bid to Become like others,

Don't Unbecome yourself

Reason

It was never Outside In.

It was always Inside Out.

The Advantaged

In this age, being in a focused and stable state throughout the day, without being a subject of distractions, is a superpower. The more we allow our thoughts to go berserk, harder it is to bring it back to the normal state of thinking.

This poem is penned to remind myself what are the advantages of doing the right things, at the right time, with the right intent and energy, for in the long run, that is what matters.

If you can go beyond, without crossing the boundary
If you can view the obvious, without any perception
If you can take it as is, without is taking you along
Congrats for you are staying in the center
Advantaged to move in any direction

If you can comment on the nature, and not the person
If you can drink the wine, without being drunk by the droplets
If you can carry a benign smile, when surrounds are vile
Congrats for you are staying in the center
Advantaged to move in any direction

If you can make amends, without mending your goals or dreams,
If you can keep things easy enough, and not make it complex
If you can be present, without foraying back and forth
Congrats for you are staying in the center
Advantaged to move in any direction

The Place

At the end of any given day, when our energy levels are the same as that of dawn, it clearly suggests that we have done things in the right manner, although we may have done it unconsciously.

Point is, had we done the same day in and out in a mindful manner, understanding the simple cause and effect parlance, it would be a different renewed us awaiting the next sunrise, every day of our life.

This poem has been written to remind that no matter what the outside factors would be, there is always a place we can go back to - our eternal home.

The place where you belong to & should come back
The place where you feel safe and content anytime
The place where you understand every bit of the structure
The place where you see the real you in mirror

The place where you can only do the righteous
The place where there are no clouds of doubts
The place where paths are clearer than crystals
The place where your physical is distant from The

The place where you are way above reason's reach
The place where dopamine doesn't need an external
The place where the journey takes precedence over the end
The place where we gain nothing, yet feel complete

Every one of us wants to reach this place, unknowingly
Its always with in the reach though, albeit
Just needs a let go of the so called Supreme Us
The Abode will appear closer than ever it was.

Remembering the Adage

The other day I was watching a Malayalam movie, titled "18am Padi". There was a dialogue in it which did its part of striking the right chords in me to write this poem. This one is to remind us that despite the odds, if we can stay on course, sooner or later things always gets clearer and what we sought out for - is found nearer.

At times,
When Combinations does not permute well,
When our Interpretations goes awry,
When our level of Depths are still left wanted

Remembering the adage always comes handy
Seek (with belief) and you shall find !!

At times,
When the Whole is left at stake for the parts
When the Microcosm comes upfront for the macro version
When the Impossible in us waits to become possible

Remembering the adage always comes handy
Seek (with belief) and you shall find !!

At times,
When the Divine is thought to be in temple core,
When the power of Infinite is hitherto unknown
When the Walls fails to pave the way ahead

Remembering the adage always comes handy
Seek (with belief) and you shall find !!

Mirage of the Perfect

Everyone of us wants to become the The Perfect, or atleast we do aim to be - albeit consciously or otherwise. However, to reach as near as possible to the exact vantage point, we need to list down the right virtues.

This poem is penned to remind myself few of the principles, which I believe is supposed to be carried, in as many moments as possible for our own versions upgrade from Good -> Better -> Best.

One who can make sandcastles out of thin air
One who can go on, when all there is - is friction
One who can read between the lines or spaces & tread,
One who can smile without a reason like a child

Everyone foresees the mirage of the Perfect but in the end,
One who can will be the one who will &
One who will would be the one who can.

One who can stay afloat despite turbulent storms
One who knows to move in, when all else is moving out
One who can restart, when the process wheel is stuck
One who knows not to cling to a fact, thing or desire

Everyone foresees the mirage of the Perfect but in the end,
One who can will be the one who will &
One who will would be the one who can.

One who knows the crests & troughs being parts and parcel
One who has no walls around mind, body and heart
One who thinks water, mending to fill the gaps at will
One who sees up to soar, when the chips are down

Everyone foresees the mirage of the Perfect but in the end,
One who can will be the one who will &
One who will would be the one who can.

One who can see and bring hope & light out of nowhere
One who can distill the worthy/non worthy with finesse
One who applies "+,-,*,/" to every aspect that comes upfront
One who sees things as they are and not what is wanted to be

Everyone foresees the mirage of the Perfect but in the end,
One who can will be the one who will &
One who will would be the one who can.
