What If

We all have been running on autopilot mode because of multitude of make-believe worldly reasons. Some of them are essential but most of them are distractions, which we allowed to engulf ourselves with - by clouding our thinking elements.

Following poem is an attempt to remind ourselves on the easily forgotten "what if's" of our daily lives.

What if we do only right and never think about wrong

What if we don't give in to impure and useless thoughts

What if we refuse to brighten feelings of envy and pride

What if we help others without any selfish reason

What if we keep learning and remain curious throughout our years

What if we respond than react to unexpected events

What if we become what we can, than mere dreaming about them

What if we do our best and not think about the outcome

What if external validation is no longer a need for self motivation

What if we muster the courage to still move on, even when no ounce of energy is left

What if we look at solutions and not stare at problems for long

What if technology brings the best of us and not the worst

What if we stay closer to us and not away from the real self

What if we remember to bring a smile and not tears knowingly or unknowingly

What if we remain free and just be what we are supposed to be.

All the what ifs mentioned can never let us down and will only act as a lever to make us more healthy, happy and strong.
