Some time ago, at the Seattle Olympics, nine athletes, all mentally or physically challenged, were standing on the start line for the 100 m race. The gun fired and the race began. Not everyone was running, but everyone wanted to participate and win.
They ran in threes, a boy tripped and fell, did a few somersaults and started crying. The other eight heard him crying. They slowed down and looked behind them. They stopped and came back… All of them…
A girl with Down’s Syndrome sat down next to him, hugged him and asked, “Feeling better now?”Then, all nine walked shoulder to shoulder to the finish line. The whole crowd stood up and applauded. And the applause lasted a very long time….
Feel the innocence of the children…Were they not aware of the rewards each would have got after completing the race…Why did they stopped…. They stopped because the hour needed them to stop. They stopped because they thought it was the right thing to do. They stopped because they wanted to win.
Deep down inside us, we all know that sometimes, the most important thing in life is much more than winning for ourselves. Let us all try to live life to the fullest, and in the right essence....

The Reserve Boy
We all in one way or the other, require some instigators, some stimuli to be in a ‘Go – Get – It’ mood.
Here’s a beautiful story about a boy who was always kept in the reserves (during a football match) by his coach. The coach was not able to give him a chance because his team was full of mature and established players. The boy would be disheartened, every time he is denied the opportunity. But he kept his faith and motivational factor, intact.
His motivation was none else than his father, who unfortunately was blind. His father would come every time a match was played, expecting his boy on the field. Then, at last, the opportune moment came. One of the key players in the team was injured and the reserve boy was given the green signal.
What happened in the next 90 minutes was something which not a single soul in the stadium, could have dreamed of. This boy was, literally, taking the breath away from the spectators, needless to say the plight of the opposition team. The score line read: 6 – 1, in favor of our reserve boy’s team. The boy had scored, whooping, 5 goals.
After the match, the coach who was cursing himself for keeping this budding talent in the reserves, asked the boy. “What was that dear? That was the best debut I have seen in my entire coaching life”
The boy lowered his head. He was sobbing. He said, “This was the first match my father saw from above and I had sworn that I would give my best shot”. His father had died the night before. Drops of tears were rolling on the listener’s face….

Paradigms
Paradigm makes a world of difference
There are times when we are too good and when we are too bad.....The real sanctity lies in the way we carry ourselves so that, at the sunset, our head should be still on our shoulders(I wish everyone would or atleast will give it a try ).....Just would like to foment it with a short story---
Railway Platform.....Passengers waiting for their trains to come.....total chaos and hue, as usual.....Now let me come to our main characters.....
Our lead character, Ramesh happens to reach the station almost 30 mins before the due departure.....And just at that time, as if enactng an act of perfect timing for the phrase ---icing on the cake....the announcement came along that the locomotive is 3 hrs behind time....
Well...there was no other way than to accept his timing....And then he realised that a huge noise was created by some children nearby (as though the calm ambience of the platform was not enough)....He enquired to see the source of the noise...
He was startled to see that there were 4 top vocalists (all below 6 yrs, probably) practicing their latent art of tampering with their vocal chord, as if to see each other's limits....Anywayz what surprised him more was this man who was sitting in between our performers...He was lost in his own world and was quite unknown about the marvellous acts enacted by his little demons('cuz that's what our lead character thought at that time)...
Ramesh was thinking as to how people leave their responsibilities behind and then let the world suffer on their own, as was evident from the scene....But when there was no sign of our little angels(different synonym, 'cuz they actually are) pulling off their show
Ramesh went to the guy, probably the father of the lot, and shouted at the top of his voice..."Hey mann, what do you think you are doing...do you feel any responsibility of taking care of your children and teaching them some discipline...." The guy answered in a low voice, "I am extremely sorry....My kids dont know how to express their feelings of losing their mother and neither do I". One day back, the children's mother had died.
Ramesh was in a state of shock...The moment before he was thinking that this man was not worthy of being a human and now he was having sympathy for him, ...There was a sudden change in his paradigm (In IT parlance, its the prototype or image we create) of thinking....
I am narrating this small instance to say that we all face adverse circumstances, every now and then, in our life's but still sometimes some things linger long in our minds, which should not be....Actually, what I mean to say is whenever we are in such a situation with our selves, we should try to change the paradigm of our mind.....Think from the other side of the river...Think about the positives in our life...Think about the good things that happen in our lives (which we, infact, not even notice) And most foremost and easiest being, Think from your heart because if we really will, we will never go wrong in our search for reaching our destined destiny....Though its an overdose, the last and of course, not the least, never judge a person readily...they may not be as good/bad as they seem to be....Have a Happy Adventurous Life

Belief in Ourself
Why do we lose ourselves,
When the going gets tough,
Why dont we stay as One Self,
When the Life gets rough.
What is that differs,
Ordinary from Greats,
The Former ---- Always breaks,
The latter always makes.
It all lies inside the Mind,
It all lies inside the Heart,
But the most important,
It lies inside your self - Belief
The Former not only thinks,
But, believe, they can't.
The Latter only believes,
That, they can
Easy to say, Harder to do,
Well, I guess its the only thing to do,
To remove someone lying between,
The --- Former & Latter --- As You.
When the going gets tough,
Why dont we stay as One Self,
When the Life gets rough.

Jealousy
Can you guess what it is,
How it comes and where it is,
Small is the word, hard is the meaning,
No-one can conquer, everyone is leaning
You may be a pious one,
Untouched by this feeling,
But trust me, somewhere, someone,
Is always there to make you, The One.
The One, who somewhere in his heart,
Always consider, the other, a thwart,
The One, who suddenly feels uneasy,
When, the other, scores very easy.
Why are we jealous of others,
Why can't we live with normal beings,
What do we get by defeating others,
Together, we could do many useful things.
One laughs and The One is happy,
One laughs and The One is sad,
Why is there so much difference,
Perhaps only one knows - the Reference.
O' God, Please help man,
To come out of this feeling,
We just require peace of mind,
Just be simple and Be Kind.
How it comes and where it is,

Lessons I learnt
When nothing goes right,
Everything goes wrong,
Sit back for a while,
And Try, try to smile.
For you can mould your life,
or else - destroy it,
Bravo to those who meet challenges,
And never say, "I quit".
Giving love without any want,
Taking pain without any gain,
For what else are we here for,
Make this world, better than before.
Good actions never go waste,
Only thing, you may have to wait,
My dear, here nothing goes with you,
You are under him & He will bestow you.
Never mind if you are alone,
Never mind if you are not called for,
Do your best, and give off best,
The Supreme will do for you, the Rest.
Giving to others always gives a pleasure,
Impossible, Improbable, Impertinent to measure,
Never take off anyone's smile,
Even if it is for a while.
Always keep your heart as pure,
No thing in this world should it lure.
Feel the Air, Feel the Sky,
Always they tell us, "C'me on Try",
Make a jump, take a leap,
Dont waste moments to weep,
Try, till the last ounce of your blood,
You may be soaked in the mud of defeat,
But keep in mind the three things :
Grit, Determination and Dedication,
Success always gives them ---------- Affirmation
Everything goes wrong,
Sit back for a while,

An Innocent Story
There are times when you do things which you don’t know why you are doing but then you know that you had to do it. Because that was the right thing to do.
This story is about a 9 year old kid named Shyam. He was a brilliant boy and like his counterparts enjoyed each moment that the wall clock produced.
He had 2 crushes in his life : One was cricket and the other one was his cute pomerian breeder puppy, named Bryan.
As you say it, when it has to happen it will happen in one way or the other. And the same happened to Shyam too. One fine day when he woke up from his bed, the first and foremost thing which he looks for was no where to be seen. (Of course I am talking about Bryan)
By the time of breakfast there was enough hue and cry in the house that even our MP's(Note : It is not Madhya Pradesh by any means) would think of competition in Parliament.
Post 10:00 everyone was in the lookout of the precious crush of Shyam. Photographs of the puppy was distributed to the searching persons. Each nook and each corner of the street was searched for. Not even a single house was left out.
Shyam was heartbroken now. Its been 3 days and there was not an inkling as to where Bryan disappeared. He stopped eating food and became ill, physically but more so due to constant thinking. His parents had no other choice than to lodge a complaint of kidnapping
Then as luck would have it, there was a phone call from the police headquarters with the good news, of course.
Shyam was the first to jump out of the car and move into the house. It had a big verandah surrounded by a beautiful garden. In the middle of the garden was one kid who was in wheelchair and yes, he was playing with our Bryan (Already a star by now, thanks to the search operations)
Shyam ran towards his treasure. His eyes were moist with anger, anxiety and the pain of being separated from his crush. Everyone surrounded the wheelchair kid. Inspector came forward and just as a formality asked Shyam to call his puppy.
Shyam did call but with his moistened eyes and quivering voice, he called "Tom". The puppy had no reaction. And more so, Shyam's parents were shocked. After all this was the same dog which they had for the past 3 weeks.
Well, this boy had done something which required ounces of courage to do. The boy on the wheelchair was suffering from paralysis. And he was so happy with that puppy that it seemed he enjoyed his company and was living his life.
This was the thing which I was intending to say. Sometimes you never question fate as to why it happened. You just relish the thing which you did and never regrets about it. Think about it……

Blown Away
On the weekend I happend to see a movie called "Blown Away". It was a movie which centered around bomb defusing squad members. It just struck me as to what would have been going through their minds when they would be defusing the bomb. In Surat, 29 bombs were diffused recently.
Imagine this. A bomb planted in a building or a suburb. You being a bomb defusal squad member have to defuse it. First thing in your priority is to find as to where the bomb exactly is. Secondly when you do reach the Bull's Eye, you should understand the design/architecture of this dreadful thing. And to top all this, you never know when is it going to explode with all its intended tenacity and intensity.
We may say that they would be given the training and the necessary know-how as to how to go about all these precarious situations. But even then the probability always stands as 50-50. You get only one chance and that has to be "A bingo yelling one". No second retakes.
I guess these guys really does a wonderful job for mankind in their own dangerous ways and saving lives by risking their own. I guess these guys really deserve an ode of salute.

Preserving our innocence
Innocence, as the name suggests, is a trait which symbolises the piousness, the purity, the clearness of any matter in this world. Well to begin with, I think that we all, down the line, are coming far-far away from it. We always make things so complex that we entangle ourselves into it.And by the time we realise that it was not the right thing to do, it would be too late.
Is it so difficult to be simple ? Is it so difficult to do the right thing always.Well, as a matter of fact, if you ask elders about the same thing you will get a disciplined reply stating that you should think of yourself and then about others. Ours is a Kalayugaa and blah blah blah...(I like using this word blah a lot because it sums up everything)
And there we go. Right from the time when we get to know ourselves, we think that in order to survive we have to outsmart others, though it may hurt someone. We follow this attitude so profusely that we forget to live our innocence. We, knowlingly or unknowingly, make ourselves a prey to the worldly chores and habits.
Well if you have read upto this you have passed the test of patience with flying colors for reading such a boring topic. But take a pause at this moment and think for a while that do we really require to sacrifice our innocence. Can't we be both innocent and smart. If and I bet if you think from the organ placed in your left chest (that was a real exaggeration) you will be tempted to think that somewhere we can make this world a little bit less complex and a little bit more simple.

Faith --- What It Really Means
Just go through this beautiful story which illustrate what faith can do....
The fields were parched from lack of rain, and the crops laid wilting from thirst. Days turned into years and still there was no inkling of water drops. The ministers of the local churches called for an hour of prayer in the town square on the following Sunday. They requested that everyone bring an object of faith for inspiration. At high noon on the appointed day, the town square was filled to the brim with anxious faces and hopeful hearts. The ministers were touched to see the variety of objects clutched in prayerful hands - holy books, crosses, rosaries etc.
When the hour ended, as if on magical command, a soft rain swept the crowd as they held their treasured objects high in gratitude and praise. From the middle of the crowd, one faith symbol seemed to overshadow all the others :
A small 9 year old child had brought an umbrella.
When we do something in life, have complete and I stress once again, have complete faith
that we will definitely succeed. We should never do anything half-mindedly. Faith - On which the Life stands.
