Preserving our innocence

Innocence, as the name suggests, is a trait which symbolises the piousness, the purity, the clearness of any matter in this world. Well to begin with, I think that we all, down the line, are coming far-far away from it. We always make things so complex that we entangle ourselves into it.And by the time we realise that it was not the right thing to do, it would be too late.

Is it so difficult to be simple ? Is it so difficult to do the right thing always.Well, as a matter of fact, if you ask elders about the same thing you will get a disciplined reply stating that you should think of yourself and then about others. Ours is a Kalayugaa and blah blah blah...(I like using this word blah a lot because it sums up everything)

And there we go. Right from the time when we get to know ourselves, we think that in order to survive we have to outsmart others, though it may hurt someone. We follow this attitude so profusely that we forget to live our innocence. We, knowlingly or unknowingly, make ourselves a prey to the worldly chores and habits.

Well if you have read upto this you have passed the test of patience with flying colors for reading such a boring topic. But take a pause at this moment and think for a while that do we really require to sacrifice our innocence. Can't we be both innocent and smart. If and I bet if you think from the organ placed in your left chest (that was a real exaggeration) you will be tempted to think that somewhere we can make this world a little bit less complex and a little bit more simple.

Faith --- What It Really Means

Just go through this beautiful story which illustrate what faith can do....

The fields were parched from lack of rain, and the crops laid wilting from thirst. Days turned into years and still there was no inkling of water drops. The ministers of the local churches called for an hour of prayer in the town square on the following Sunday. They requested that everyone bring an object of faith for inspiration. At high noon on the appointed day, the town square was filled to the brim with anxious faces and hopeful hearts. The ministers were touched to see the variety of objects clutched in prayerful hands - holy books, crosses, rosaries etc.

When the hour ended, as if on magical command, a soft rain swept the crowd as they held their treasured objects high in gratitude and praise. From the middle of the crowd, one faith symbol seemed to overshadow all the others :

A small 9 year old child had brought an umbrella.

When we do something in life, have complete and I stress once again, have complete faith
that we will definitely succeed. We should never do anything half-mindedly. Faith - On which the Life stands.

The Heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing

There are, can be and will be instances in your life when there will be a dilemma whether to pay heed to your mind or the heart. And sometimes it is but natural that we give in to our heart, which, as per me, is the right thing to do.

Anyways, here is the narration of another true incident that happened to, none other than my Boss (As told to me by one of my colleague)

Continuing her daily chores of going to her office, she stopped in front of a medical shop to buy some medicines. She was about to return back when she heard a quarrel between the shopkeeper and an aged person.

The shopkeeper's voice was somewhat stern. The aged person, who was around 90 years old, was literally crying. My Boss was not able to understand the whole scenario and she asked the shopkeeper about the same. The story was like this -----

The old man had come to buy some medicines for himself but he had comparatively lesser money. He requested the shopkeeper but then, of course, he was not ready to give.
My Boss asked the aged person, "Baba, is it true". He was still sobbing and could only nod his head. There was no further thinking and in a moment the required money was in the hands of the shopkeeper.

Many people here, would doubt the credibility of the act but then I think this has no explanation, whatsoever. I know only one thing. It requires tonnes of courage and faith to do the same thing for a complete stranger.

Right is always right

Sometimes we are in a quandary as to what is to be done. And then what we do is what we got to do, knowingly or unknowingly. Anyway, enough of playing with the words.

This was a perfect example of what can happen when you take a small initiative and well, it turns out to be of greater impact to others. During my 6th Semester, I guess (though it doesn't matter over here), I was travelling from my Nagpur (My chacha lives there) to Gondia(where my college happened to be).

The train was "Gitanjali express" scheduled to depart at 6 AM. I went inside the General compartment and was lucky enough to get a seat. There was not much crowd over there though it is not normal not to have a big hue and cry in a general compartment.

Anyway, I got the seat. And was sitting there with my watch radials showing 5:45 AM. Well by the scheduled departure time, I was already thinking of my classes that I had to attend on that day. Every possible seat was occupied below though there was some place above.

Just then an old uncle came. He looked tired and his eyes were very grim. It seemed he was crying for the whole night.(To be frank, its my guess). He asked everyone around our vicinity a seat but none gave. All were adamant to sit below, though there was ample space above.

Well, I felt a little awkward. I dont know but I suddenly got up and asked him to sit in my place.
He asked me not to do so. But I said that I can go up and there I can sit or sleep for hours. And then he agreed. He touched my hair as if I knew everything that must have gone with him.

Anyway, believe me or not after I told him the same the same people who were against giving him the seat were now giving him the seat asking him to come to their place. I thought were they deaf when he asked then for the same. Whatever.....

Sometimes we ought to do what is simple and straight. Though at times it may seem odd but this is the crux of life....So, what I feel you do what you think is right and no matter what, always listen to your heart. It will never let you down.
